Order of Adjectives

When we use more than one adjective to modify a given noun, they appear in a certain order. For example, what sounds better, "metal big hammer" or "big metal hammer"; "small black beautiful dress" or "beautiful small black dress"?

The logic is as follows:
We start with what changes more easily and go toward what does not or will be hard to change.
For example our opinion (beautiful, ugly, amazing) could change or it varies from one person to another. On the other hand, the material things are made of is not going to change, it is what it is. We can change the colour by painting it sometimes, but changing the material would mean changing the object.

Here is the right order:
(the number of adjectives does not matter, the order is the same even if they are only two)
